An American jeep is parked in front of a Filipino barber shop in the Philippines in 1944

Gift of John M. Lynes Sr., from the Collection of The National WWII Museum
Description:

An American jeep is parked in front of a Filipino barber shop. "The towns in the Philippines for the most part are not too big and have nothing much in the way of buildings as we know them. Most buildings are of wood and are never built over two stories in height. The view here is a street scene showing one of the businesses indulged in by the Filipinos since the advent of the American soldier. Barber shops like this were quick to spring up to catch the extra pesos of the serviceman." Philippines 1944
