1841. '3-22-44. J. P. Johnson. New trail being cut along rearward slope, below firebreak trail, on ridge near Hill #3905, by C Battery men, 609th F.A. 71st L. Div. during Mtn Man on H.L.M.R. Trail is to be used for mule trains packing supplies and ammunition. Present route is along ridge, over briebreak(firebreak) where anyone traveling this section makes excellent target against sky.
