1885. '3-24-44. Ecklund. These are the 'C' Rations of 353 Inf Regt under trees at their RSO. They were brought to them by mules over 4 miles from the 89DSA. The III Corps delivered the rations to the 89DSA by truck so they can breakdown for Regt. The 353 RSO is near Hill 2280. HLMR MTN Man. R 168-9-44-635.'
