Soldiers repair a damaged tank. Note that units have been stricken in the caption. Official caption: "6AG 7A-27827/ETO HQ 44 29299 12 Dec. Credit...U.S. Army Signal Corps. Photog--Pvt. Francis E. Lane...163. U.S. tankmen start repairs on this M-4 tank which has just been towed from a deep roadside ditch near Lemberg, France. Dislocated tread at left prevented the tank from pulling itself out. Other tanks of the battalion were linked together to tow the damaged tank from ditch. (B). 781st Tank Bn., 100 Div., Lemberg, France." Censored on 11 December 1944.
