German Krupp K5 railroad gun in Civitavecchia, Italy. 'When we finally got ashore little did we know we would find the 220 mm gun that had chased our ship around the harbor trying to hit it. It had been called "Anzio Annie" and to some it was known as "Whistling Willie", but when one of the shells if fired came in it sound [sic] like a freight train.' [1944]
