Items from the service of an unidentified United States Coast Guard [USCG] sailor aboard LST-170 in the Pacific Theater of Operations. LST-170 was commissioned on 31 May 1943, and manned by an all USCG crew. Between May 1943 and the end of the war, LST-170 participated in multiple landings in the Bismark Islands, New Guinea, Hollandia, and the Philippines. She earned seven battle stars during the war in the Pacific. This collection consists of photographs that depict ship board life, islands in the pacific, and invasions.
